94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "The 2 hectares 65 - with one parcel mid-slope and one further up - of this Premier Cru are always the first that Frédéric harvests in Meursault. This is a delightful Genevrières, resplendent in floral aromas. The palate shows chamomile, vanilla extract, wild flower honey, pluots and green gauges. The mid-palate has a welcoming sappiness elevated by prancing acidity. 2022-30. (2022)"

94 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Bouchard is the owner of two parcels of Genevrières that total 2.65 ha: 1.65ha on the thin soils of the steeper part of the slope that gives a more mineral result, and another hectare below that in deeper soils. The combination produces a classic Meursault with a ripe apple fruit, notes of butter and hazelnut, and a rich, dense structure but always (even in 2020) a pleasantly saline minerality. Drinking Window: 2023-2040. (Nov 2021)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières wafts from the glass with aromas of citrus oil, crisp Anjou pear, hazelnuts, white flowers and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with an ample core of fruit, terrific concentration, bright acids and a long, saline finish. (Jan 2022)"

92-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Fine lemon and lime colour, with a detailed elegant bouquet and a sense of class all the way through to a slightly richer bouquet. The Bouchard 2020 Genevrières certainly has the detail, with a mix of white fruits, a little apple and also some citrus. A fine Genevrières for the medium term. (Nov 2021)"

93 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$175 list] A rich Meursault, with a fleshy frame containing peach, lemon oil, vanilla and oak spice flavors backed by vibrant acidity. Lingers on the aftertaste, where a mineral accent emerges. Drink now through 2028. 125 cases imported. (9/30/23)"

91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Meursault Les Genevrières 1er Cru has just a touch of reduction on the nose, but there is clearly good fruit concentration here, a light waxy aromas emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with a honeyed texture, lightly spiced, riper than the Charmes but without quite the same delineation. Drink: 2024-2038. (Dec 2021)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(2.65 hectares from two plots; one from above the road to Chassagne which is a steep slope of old vines. The second, a more stony plot that brings freshness and minerality. They are separately vinified, before eventual blending.) An accent of noble reduction to this seriously great nose. Along with the Clous a wine for buying cases of! Direct, mouth-watering – hyper-complex great wine. (Dec 2021)"
