92-96 points Fine Wine Review: "The nose is closed on the Clos-de-Bèze, but the mouth shows dark and red fruits with nervosity and, as one would expect, more body than the Chapelle-Chambertin. The wine also shows excellent concentration and depth. As impressed as I am by it, I get the feeling that the wine may not be showing at its best today, and therefore may be even better than I perceive it on this occasion. (1/11/15)"

95 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Medium red. Exotic candied raspberry, game, rose petal and crushed stone on the come-hither nose. Delivers outstanding clarity of flavor without any hard edges, with the red berry and mineral flavors lifted by a floral topnote. Wonderfully refined and alive in the middle palate. Finishes with noble tannins and outstanding building vibrant length. A prime example of an impeccably balanced 2013 that's not a fleshpot. Drink: 2024-2036. (Mar 2016)"

93-95 points and 'Don't miss!' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from purchased grapes). Interestingly this is not quite as ripe as the Chapelle though it is notably spicier with its expressive nose of menthol, various red berries and earth. There is excellent intensity, punch and minerality to the large-scaled flavors that possess markedly better depth, particularly on the explosively long and beautifully well-balanced finale. This is wonderfully rich yet there is a certain reserve and a firm tannic spine that suggest that this should age effortlessly. Drink: 2028+. (Apr 2015)"

93 points Wine Spectator: "The core of sweet fruit and the dense structure reveal this red’s potential. Macerated cherry, raspberry, oak spice and graphite flavors ride the tannins to the long, tensile finish. Best from 2019 through 2034. 50 cases imported. (7/31/16)"
