'Don't miss!' and 92-95 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .24 ha mix of terres rouges and terres blanches but with a bit more of the former; only two barrels produced in 2013). Once again there is ample menthol character to the overtly spicy aromas of plum liqueur and violet. The impressively rich and broad-shouldered flavors also possess outstanding mid-palate concentration with plenty of extract that completely coats the mouth and buffers the very firm tannic spine on the hugely long, powerful and balanced finish. This is a knockout with superb aging potential. Drink: 2028+. (Apr 2015)"

91-95 points Fine Wine Review: "The Bonnes-Mares is from but 23 ares -- seven rows that go from the bottom to the top of the vineyard. The nose is floral. The mouth is smooth, pure, round, long, and intense with finesse and crushed dark berry fruit. 25-30% whole clusters here. (Jan 2015)"

91-94 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "(25% vendange entier; just 20 hectoliters per hectare produced): Explosive aromas of chocolate cake, violet, licorice and pepper. Cherry and chocolate flavors show terrific sucrosité, with brisk underlying minerality and strong acidity giving a sappy quality to the thick middle palate. Most impressive today on the sharply delineated, rising finish. This is beautifully balanced from the start but it's hard to believe that it won't shut down in the bottle. (Jan 2015)"
