94 points Tim Atkin, MW: "Made up of four separate parcels in Beaune Grèves, picked separately and treated differently, this is one of the best sites in the town. Low yields, some whole bunch spice, a sheen of new oak and dense but fine-boned tannins are complemented by sweet berry fruit. 2019-26. (Jan 2016)"

94 points Wine Enthusiast: "This monopole vineyard came into the Bouchard family in 1791, 60 years after the maison was founded. This wine is smoky and full of fruit and sweet tannins. With its balanced tannins and rich fruits, it is developing well. The dense structure behind the fruit promises good aging. Drink from 2020. Alcohol 13.0%. (Oct 2016)"

90-93 points Fine Wine Review: "This wine shows minerality in the nose with some red fruits and some nuts. The mouth is bigger in body with more structure than the previous wines. Here, too, we have red fruits. This is not a finesse wine and there is some rusticity, but it wins over with its forward qualities. About 35% new oak here, but with lighter toasting than in the past, and about 20-25% whole cluster fruit. (1/24/16)"

92 points Stephen Brook (Decanter): "Delicate, smoky red-fruits nose; lifted and elegant. Rich and suave on the palate though concentrated, with firm underlying tannins. This has structure, depth and unusual power for Beaune, probably the result of low yields. Has grip and persistence, with a long, punchy finish. Drinking Window: 2018-2030."

92 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Medium bright colour, a little muddied at the edges, some lively notes again. Floral notes, then an unexpected weight of fruit on the palate with significantly more to offer at the back. The Beaune with the most to offer for the future in this tasting. (Sep 2017)"
