92-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Rich powerful purple with a blacker core. More backward bouquet. Medium density through the middle, drier tannins, not quite the same weight of fruit, but really intense dark currant fruit at the finish with good acidity. (Oct 2020)"
93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a <.34 ha parcel in Grand Maupertuis). A brooding and restrained nose reluctantly offers up its aromas of red and dark currant, warm earth and a menthol hint. There is outstanding volume and mid-palate density to the reasonably refined if not exactly elegant flavors that culminate in the hallmark austerity of a classic Clos de Vougeot. Patience not only a virtue but essential with this wine. Drink: 2034+. (Apr 2021)"
92 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "This comes from two parcels totalling less than one-third of a hectare, both in Grand Maupertuis near the top of the Clos. The grapes were completely destemmed prior to vinification in a single, new, small oak cask. The result is nearly impenetrable. On the nose it is reserved; on the palate, ferociously tannic. One thing is certain, it is a wine of intense concentration and massive extract. Drinking Window: 2024-2039. (Oct 2020)"
