95 points Andy Howard, MW (Decanter): "Taking its name from 'pierre' (stone), Preuses is located high on the Grand Cru slope, facing south/southwest, with plenty of exposure. Although the warmth of the vintage comes through this is a fine Preuses. The palate shows purity of stone-fruit, combined with a citrus-zest, mineral character on both the nose and palate. Already approachable but there is so much more potential to come. Finishes with a long, savoury, lingering aftertaste. Drinking Window: 2022-2030. (Oct 2020)"
92-94 points / 'Sweet spot,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .41 ha parcel of vines planted in 1952). Firm reduction masks the underlying fruit at present. The delicious medium weight flavors also possess almost painful intensity along with outstanding minerality that is enhanced by the clean, crisp and strikingly persistent finish. This too is going to need extended forbearance. Drink: 2031+. (Nov 2020)"
Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "All tank elevage. Not a full nose – more airy and open. Mouth-filling, more structural nice energy too, the texture is fine, touched with a faint tannin. The flavour is always mouth-watering from an agrume fruit. A ramping up of concentration in the finish – that’s impressive – that’s a great wine but for keeping a few years. (Jan 2021)"
