93 points Jasper Morris MW (Inside Burgundy): "Very pale colour. A fraction of reduction but this is more in a sunny super succulent style with a little touch of honeysuckle. But I can see the marine notes too. Certainly, the 2020 Forêts is notably chiselled on the palate with a good degree of salinity at the back, along with the ripeness of the fruit. 30% has been made in barrel. Drink from 2025-2032. Tasted: June 2022."
93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Bessin family’s 2020 La Forêt is also a superb wine in waiting, but it is morereserved today on the palate than the Montmains and will clearly want a bit longer in the cellar before drinking. The bouquet however, is quite expressive at the present time, wafting from the glass in a mix of apple, pear, white lilies, chalky soil tones, beeswax, lime peel and just a touch of iodine in the upper register. On the palate the wine is crisp, full-bodied and beautifully focused, with a lovely core, excellent soil signature, bright acids and superb balance and grip on the long, properly reserved finish. All this beautiful wine needs is some bottle age! 2026-2060+ (Nov/Dec 2021)"
