93 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The village Vosne from Berthaut-Gerbet has a lush, forward red and black berry fruit aroma with hints of smoke and spice. The texture is velvety and very fine, but there is density and some tannic grip. The grapes come from three parcels, two in Aux Réas and one in Au-Dessus de la Rivière, south of the village along the Route Nationale. Berthaut destems and ferments gently, mostly pumping over instead of punching down before ageing in cask (one-third new). Drinking Window: 2027-2045. (Nov 2022)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2021 Vosne-Romanée Village has an attractive nose with quite generous red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit, hints of violet. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins, tensile and citrus-fresh with an orange peel infused finish. Very fine. Drink: 2024-2034. (Jan 2023)"
