90 points Jasper Morris, MW: "1.30 ha with mixed ages, on alluvial soil with lots of small stones. Seemed to have lost 80% to the frost but in fact they made half a crop. It has a very deep dark colour, very lively juicy wine, lovely texture, could be a few stems here, juicy more than silky. Lovely aftertaste. (Jan 2018)"
90 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "(from alluvial soil with more stones, not to mention a cooler combe influence; 30% vendange entier; bottled in December; Berthaut noted that 80% of the buds were lost to frost but a good amount of second-generation grapes ripened, so she only lost 50% of her normal volume): Lovely deep color. Less fruit-driven than the basic village Fixin, showing more mineral and soil tones on the nose. Then plush, spicy and sweet, conveying a rather relaxed quality for a wine made mostly from second-generation grapes. An element of saline, stony minerality adds interest. With its very good mouth coverage and rather fine-grained dusty tannins, this is showing well already but it should offer some aging potential. Drink: 2019-2027. (Jan 2018)"
90 points William Kelley (Decanter): "The Les Crais is lovely, bursting from the glass with aromas of cassis, black cherry, liquorice and grilled meats. On the palate the wine is medium-full, fine-grained and vibrant, with nice mid-palate depth and a fine, chalky finish. Boisterous and ample. Drinking Window: 2026-2045. (Oct 2017)"
