94 points Wine Spectator: "Supple, open-textured and layered, with beautifully defined currant, plum and cocoa flavors, floating serenely over a polished texture on a finish that unfurls gracefully. Light-footed, showing terrific presence and persistence. Drink now through 2023. (10/21/15)"

93 points Josh Raynolds (Vinous): "[$90 list] Deep red. Sexy, highly perfumed aromas of red berry liqueur, potpourri and Asian spices, with a smoky mineral topnote. Silky, open-knit raspberry and floral pastille flavors show very good depth and focus, with tangy acidity adding lift and spine. Displays a suave blend of power and vivacity on the strikingly long spicy, floral finish, which leaves a refreshingly bitter berry skin note behind. This wine transcends the vintage and should age effortlessly on its balance. Drink: 2018-2024. (Oct 2015)"

93 points International Wine Report: "The 2013 'The 'Beaux Frères Vineyard' Pinot Noir by Beaux Frères impresses with its elegance and feminine side. Sourced from their 24 acre estate vineyard, first planted in 1988, roughly 50% of the grapes for this wine were picked before the rains of this difficult harvest. The wine starts with aromatics of cran-cherry, teaberry, black truffle and and pomegranate seed. The wine has medium weight flavors reminiscent of red cherry, red raspberry, cranberry and orange rind. This shows nice elegance and pretty red fruit flavors Best 2016-2028. (Jun 2016)"

Producer notes: "A bit darker. Medium ruby to red. The nose is of fresh red Oregon fruits and berries, a cherry aromatic is supported by more cola spice and a touch of subtle oak. This is a finesse styled Beaux Freres. Medium bodied with light-sweet tannins, very good purity and depth. The texture here is beguiling as well. 2,194 cases produced."
