The 2013 Chardonnay Sugar Shack offers caramelized apples, brioche, crème brûlée, honeyed citrus, white currants, some liquefied stones, a touch of clove, and fabulous, full-bodied ripeness. This tips the scales at nearly 15.5% alcohol, so it is no wimp. Made exclusively from the Montrachet clone of Chardonnay, it can be expected to drink well for another ten years. (Dec 2015)"

Lemon curd, mint, wild flowers, apricot pit, Chamomile and lightly honeyed notes flesh out on the super-expressive, nuanced finish. This is one of the more complete wines in a lineup of impressive Chardonnays. The Montrachet clone works wonders on this site, which sits adjacent to Dana. Drink: 2017-2027. (Jan 2015)"
