93 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "This monopole is a single lieu-dit of 1.39ha located at the foot of the slope called l'Hermitage. The richness of the site produces a lovely, deep plummy fruit with savoury and mineral notes, and a pleasant floral edge. There is good depth of flavour and density on the palate, with a tannic line that leads to a pleasantly lingering finish. Drinking Window: 2023-2040. (Oct 2021)"

'Outstanding/Top Value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(a monopole; <40% whole cluster). Here too reduction dominates the fruit at present. Otherwise, there is good verve to the delicious middle weight flavors that aren't quite as concentrated, but they are noticeably finer on the lingering finish that flashes nuances of rusticity and warmth. This is also solidly powerful if perhaps not quite as powerful as the La Fortune. This too offers excellent quality for its level. Drink: 2026+. (Oct 2021)"

Producer notes: "La Digoine is a site at the foot of a slope, known for centuries to provide the deep soil and growing conditions necessary for excellent red wine. Our vineyard here is planted in moderate-yield Pinot Noir. At first sight, the color is sustained, intense red. Even if the nose is still slightly shy, it suggests a great wine; this impression is confirmed by the complexity on the palate. A wine fleshy, rich, deep, full of ripe and silky tannins. La Digoine can be drunk very young. Within two or three months of bottling, it demonstrates immediate appeal with red berry fruit and a balance of roundness, structure, and lenght on the palate. However, this is another versatile wine which benefits from bottle aging."
