96 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "The flinty minerality of this compact and tightly wound dry riesling is absolutely extraordinary. This, the sleekness and the very racy acidity on the medium-bodied palate make it unique in Alsace. The Mirabelle plum fruit emerges very slowly. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2027. (5/19/25)"
96 points La Revue du Vin de France: "More introverted in its youth, Clos Windsbuhl is harvested at just the right moment of maturity, but remains vibrant and balanced, with a very bright finish. (2026)"
96 points Bettane & Desseauve Guide (2026).
94+ points Ian D'Agata Wine Review: "Good pale yellow with strong gold tinges. Pristine aromas of white peach, grapefruit and white flowers are penetrating and sharply delineated. Enters ripe then vibrant with zingy lemony freshness and orchard plus citrus fruit flavours that are gingery, citrussy and classically dry (1.2 g/L r.s.). As always just a great Riesling wine, in 2023 these were once again the last grapes to be harvested at the estate (but the acidity is high as always, 6.4 g/L in 2023), yet the wine is one of the lowest in alcohol this vintage (12.3%). To my taste, the Clos Windsbuhl gives some of Zind Humbrecht’s best wines, marked by an amazingly penetrating limestone-associated acidity. Drinking window: 2028-2044. (10/17/25)"
