94 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Complex nose of nutty old-fashioned apples, fresh quince and mirabelle. Excellent substance for 10.5% alcohol on the well-structured, medium-bodied palate, and the core of minerals and spice pushes the finish way out there! Super harmonious, too. From organically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2025. (11/9/23)"

92 points Mosel Fine Wines: "AP: 14 23. The Steffensberg 2022, as it is referred to on the front label, underwent 12 hours of pre-fermentation maceration (Maischestandzeit) and was fermented down to dry levels of residual sugar and aged in Fuder. It offers a very attractive and finely ripe nose of yellow fruits, including peach and Conference pear, almond cream, melon, orange zest, and cinnamon, all wrapped in a touch of wood-driven spices. The wine proves directly very precise and driven by zesty acidity on the palate and leaves a finely creamy and juicy feel in the long and precise finish. It has good presence and intensity, despite only having 10.5% alcohol. There is a touch of tartness in the background, which still needs to be integrated. This is very impressive but will really come into its own in a couple of years. 2027-2037. (Jun 2024)"
