95 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "This exotic, seductive wine is one of the specialties at Domaine de la Vougeraie. It features ripe pear and peach fruit with smoke, beeswax and floral notes. The texture is dense, with balanced acidity and plenty of extract that lingers on the palate almost like a Corton-Charlemagne. It is produced from the Domaine’s monopole of just over three hectares that is planted to chardonnay with a small admixture of Pinot Beurrot and just a drop of Pinot Blanc. The grapes are farmed biodynamically and pressed as whole clusters. The fermentation starts in tank and finishes in cask (about one-quarter new). Drinking Window: 2025-2045. (Nov 2022)"

94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Baked apple and dried cherries pump up the overt aromatics of this wine. The palate packs in oatmeal, toast and fresh yeast to create a welcome chaos of exciting, bold flavors. Here, too, Poillot harvested three different times, starting at the point by the gate and gradually continuing downslope. The all-out effort shows in the glass. (2023)"

94 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$250 list] This white is racy and well-delineated, featuring aromas and flavors of lemon oil, apple, butterscotch, graphite and baking spices on an elegant profile. The flavors just won't quit as this winds down on the long, complex aftertaste. Drink now through 2030. (10/15/24)"

94 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Fine reduction and chalky notes in the Blanc de Vougeot, ample and square, dense and structured: carried by a chalky breath, its finish is incisive and tonic. (2024)"

92-94 points Jasper Morris, MW: "33.5 hl/ha is a much better yield than looked likely at first. There ws heavy damage on the Clos Vougeot side, but otherwise wind turbines and bougies helped save the day. Mid yellow. The nose is a little bit biscuity, a reduction on the wood. At the moment that shows most. Quite some weight at the start of the palate, a bit of heat behind and some liquorice notes. The Clos Blanc has not all come together yet but there is clearly a lot of wine here. Unsure of itself at the moment. Drink from 2026-2032. (Oct 2022)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "Always 3 harvests here – top, middle and then the bottom comes last. 33 hl/ha – not bad for a frosty year! Back to the grilled bread and nuts – a vibrancy of aroma here – almost a little spice too. Broad, easy over the palate, concentrated yet mouth-watering. A wine of mineral persistence – great persistence. A wine that always appreciates time in bottle – I’d start drinking these only after 10 years… – other people’s bottles (corks!) (1/16/23)"
