89-92 points and 'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from vines in the southwest portion of the village and includes some declassified 1ers from Les Baudes and Fuées). A spicy nose features notes of pure red currant, plum and soft violet aromas. The middle weight flavors possess an attractive minerality and verve before terminating in an understated, complex and beautifully well-balanced finale. (Jan 2014)"

88-91 points Fine Wine Review: "The Chambolle is more closed than usual at this stage. It shows the usual dark fruit that is dense, but the wine is elegant and light on the palate. There is a touch of bitterness on the finish. (Issue #141; 2014)"

90 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2012 Chambolle villages from Domaine de Comte de Vogüé was showing very well for only having been racked yesterday, as it offers up a lovely and complex nose of cherries, pomegranate, peonies, cocoa, a dollop of blood orange, lovely soil tones and just a hint of new wood. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and beautifully focused, with a good core, a seamless structure, moderate tannins and a long, nicely tangy and well-balanced finish. A fine Chambolle villages! 2019-2040. (Nov/Dec 2013)"

90 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Good full red. Mellow perfume of red fruits and spices. Round, ripe and seamless, showing lovely early sweetness and a sensual texture leavened by sappy energy. Raspberry and ripe cherry flavors are a bit youthfully reticent but carry well on the juicy, sedate finish. This is more graceful in bottle than it was from barrel in the fall of 2013. Drink: 2020-2027. (Mar 2015)"

90 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from vines in the southwest portion of the village and includes some declassified 1ers from Les Baudes and Fuées). A spicy and markedly ripe nose features liqueur-like notes of pure red currant, plum and soft violet aromas. The middle weight flavors possess an attractive minerality and verve before terminating in an understated, complex, polished and beautifully well-balanced finale that exhibits a subtle touch of austerity. Drink: 2020+. (Jan 2015)"
