97-98 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Welcome to the wide, red velvet sofa! Very subtle black-fruit aromas, including a touch of mulberry. Expansive and concentrated, but very precise, thanks to the extremely fine tannins, the earthiness ever more prominent at the generous and beautifully proportioned finish. (7/2/2023)"

97 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "In bottle. Made as three cuvees, then assembled. A rich mid purple with a deliciously heady bouquet, the sumptuous side of dark raspberry, perfumed yet precise, purple fruit with some redder layers beneath, a little white pepper spice, multiple layers of fruit, very engaging with just a very slight youthful bitterness. Irreproachable. Drink from 2032-2045. (Nov 2023)"

96 points Sarah Marsh MW (World of Fine Wine): "The nose is surprisingly floral; violets and blueberries, then luscious on the attack. Super-deep and dark and plush. Rounded, full, and generous, but with freshness and elegance. Fine, velvet-textured tannins cloak the palate. 2028–2040. (1/17/24)"

96 points Charles Curtis MW (Decanter): "We tasted an assortment of barrels from the 2022 vintage: one from the southern end of Bonnes-Mares, one from the middle, and one from the north. The portion from the south showed results that are supple and elegant with a lovely fruit and impressive length. The center shows a lovely richness and density, and the sample coming from the northern end of the vineyard showed more reduction, but there was a lovely finesse and an elegant raspberry note. The blend should produce one of the wines of the vintage in this appellation. Drinking Window: 2028-2070. (5/31/23)"

95-96 points/'Outstanding,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Bonnes Mares is lively and vivid to a surprising degree; the acidity is quite fine, hence giving the Bonnes Mares light feet indeed. Rich and expressive, it shows blueberries in its intense fruit. Beautiful energy for such a rich vintage. Drink from 2033. (4/27/23)"

95 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Another cuvée that was also in bottle when I visited, the 2022 Bonnes Mares Grand Cru unfurls in the glass with aromas of cherries and raspberries mingled with exotic notes and sweet forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, layered and fleshy, it's concentrated and textural, with nicely integrated tannins, lively acids and a long, saline, rose-inflected finish. Its more sensual style is a welcome evolution. Drink: 2030-2050. (1/18/24)"

94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "An even spicier and more floral-suffused nose is comprised mostly by blue pinot fruit and discreet earth wisps. The succulent, refined and vibrant medium-bodied flavors aren't especially concentrated though they do possess impressive power on the beautifully long and equally well-balanced finale. This is a wine that is certainly built to repay extended keeping but it's not so compact that it couldn't be reasonably approached after only 5 to 7 years. Drink 2034+. (Jan 2024)"

94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Like the Musigny, this is slightly challenging to taste as it has just been bottled. The nose is firmly closed, but the palate offers up some chocolatey oak, black plum preserves and Damsons. Well-measured, chalky tannins surround the compact fruit core, and the pronounced acidity punches up back palate to leave a dry impression on the solid finish. Jean Lupatelli noted, 'I found this wine a bit thick early on, but it is starting to refine itself little by little.' (2024)"
