97 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2019 Cornas Les Vieilles Vignes is similarly inky colored and has a classic nose of plums, Asian spices, sandalwood, and iron. Medium to full-bodied, with good acidity and ripe tannins, it doesn't have the sheer weight, richness, or girth of the Vieilles Fontaines, yet it's certainly a more classic Cornas that will be approachable with just 3-4 years of bottle age yet evolve for twenty years if you're so inclined. Drink: 2025-2046. (2/16/22)"

96 points James Molesworth (Wine Spectator): "[$90 list] This is packed with succulent cherry, plum paste and blackberry fruit flavors that show hints of mulled spice, dried anise, singed tobacco and sweet tapenade as they move through. A mouthwatering mineral edge extends the lengthy finish. Cellar patiently, then serve with game for the full seduction. Best from 2024 through 2038. 1,265 cases made, 225 cases imported. (7/31/22)"

96 points Falstaff: "Reductive on the nose, smoky and yeasty. The palate radiates a sinewy freshness, the tannins have a gripping vigour and a well-judged hint of raspiness, the acidity is firm and appropriate, the wine has mineral depth and an extract for decades of bottle ageing. A rustic, somewhat rough wine, but with excellent certain ageing potential. Alcohol 14.5%. (10/7/22)"

95 points Josh Raynolds (Vinous): "Vivid purple. Displays expansive, finely detailed aromas of blueberry, kirsch, black pepper, violet and exotic spices, with hints of olive and cola in the background. Fleshy and broad in the mouth, offering deeply concentrated black and blue fruit preserve, smoky bacon and floral pastille flavors that are lifted and brightened by a building mineral nuance. Chewy and appealingly sweet on the strikingly persistent finish, which features youthfully chewy tannins and resonating florality. Drink: 2028-2038. (Dec 2022)"

????? John Livingstone-Learmonth (DrinkRhône.com): "(1925-1980 Syrah from mainly La Côte, with Mazards, Patou, the slope parts of Combe, Chaillot, Tézier, includes Fontaine when no Vieilles Fontaines cuvée, granite soils, 70-80% destemmed, 3-week fermentation, pumping overs, cap punching, aged 10-15% new (down from 15-25% new until early 2020s), 85-90% 1-4 year 228-litre & 225-litre oak casks & 3-year 228-litre ex white wine casks 20-22 months, filtered, can be fined, 13,000-16,000 bottles).  Full, dark red robe; the bouquet has a comfortable, assured depth, centres on cooked red berry fruits, a hint of jam, with sweet herbs. It’s a promising opening, and will blossom well. The palate is rich, continuous, has a herbal presence, is savoury, extended, a real goer. This confirms the first pre-bottling tasting, is a complete, balanced, stylish Cornas. 14.5°. From 2024. 2043-45 July 2021 Previously Jan 2021 ***** (casks) dark red robe, black tints; the nose is subtly elegant, comes with a floral angle and refined black berry fruits, carries its ripeness well, perhaps even a little noble Volatile Acidity. The palate pleases via its velvet texture, purrs along with fine tannins and pedigree, silken content, finishes en rondeur, effortlessly. This extols old vines and their unhurried being - the silk of their sève, sap, the notable balance, too. This strokes the palate with such poise and togetherness that it brings different roads to the Cornas rond-point – Burgundy, top Grenache, refinement, feel, aroma along the palate. C’est un vin de tendresse. Well played, Lionel – Alain was no doubt proud of this. It will drink well at many junctures of its life, won’t be pesky at all. From 2023. 2044-46 Jan 2021."
