Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and multidimensional, it's velvety and vibrant, with beautifully refined tannins, terrific generosity of fruit and lively balancing acids. 91-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "From 70 year old vines, in excellent health. Also, the largest holding and the most wine available, so that is good news. Ripe purple colour with a beautiful bouquet, the white pepper just livening up the fruit enough, sensual and stunning. Touches 14% which shows only in the ultra concentration. Harnessed power and a gorgeous quality of fruit. One more winter in wood will round it out and deliver something rather special. (Oct 2021)"

91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Santenay Les Gravières 1er Cru shows just a little reduction on the nose, though there is plenty of coiled-up fruit. The palate is medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, with very fine tannins, flavors of black cherries and bilberry, and a touch of black olive toward the finish.
