96 points Yohan Castaing (Wine Advocate): "The 2013 Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs Les Blanches Voies is stunning today, revealing a deep, complex bouquet of white flowers, pastry, baked bread, lemon oil and ripe orchard fruits. Full-bodied, muscular and chiseled, it's seamless and layered, with terrific depth at the core, a crystalline texture and a multidimensional, elegant and endless finish. Laurent Champs crafted a superb 2013 vintage. Kudos. Made from south-facing vines planted in the lieu-dit Les Blanches Voies and vinified in oak barrels crafted by the cooper Rousseau using oak from Rilly-la-Montagne, it was matured for 10 months in barrels, followed by seven years in bottles on the lees. Drink: 2024-2054. (10/24/24)"
96 points Essi Avellan, MW: "The 2013 is a slow ager overall and Vilmart’s no-malo policy makes this wine even more so. To show his single-vineyard Chardonnay from Les Blanches Voies plot at its best, Laurent Champs has given it a particularly long post-disgorgement rest, three years. The layered nose shows fine evolution of pencil shavings, acasia, vanilla and honey. Smoothly textured and generous, the palate comes with stunning concentration and a laser sharp acidity enhancing the feeling of perfect purity and ultimate precision. At a fine drinking window already now thanks to the long post-disgorgement ageing but the wine will still reward further cellaring. (Feb 2024)"
