95 points Tyson Stelzer (The Champagne Guide): "(tasted in 2023 in Australia; 51% pinot noir, 34% chardonnay, 15% meunier; Veuve Clicquot Vintage 2012 with 13% pinot noir red wine from Bouzy; 11% aged in foudres; disgorged January 2019; 6g/L dosage). I first tasted this disgorgement before its release in 2019. I loved it then and even more in 2020 for its fresh, aromatic pinot noir expression, and I love it still today, but for very different reasons. Four years on cork have evolved its youthful medium salmon crimson to a crimson bronze hue, and its primary red fruits to a secondary place of deep spice, candied almond, custard cream, buttered toast and frangipane, even fruit mince spice. It still projects a focus of tangy strawberry hull and pink grapefruit acidity that drive a long finish, sustained by wonderfully crystalline chalk minerality. The best bottles still display beautiful freshness and poise in a brightness of hue and a purity of red cherry fruit that guarantee a long life, well into its Cave Privée years. One bottle showed a little oxidative development that impacted freshness on the finish. (Edition VII; 2024)"
92-95 points Essi Avellan, MW: "(51% Pinot Noir, 34% Chardonnay, 15% Meunier, plus 13% red wine). Medium-deep cherry toned colour evolving towards copper. Pronounced berry nose with cranberries and red cherries and complementing, soft, spicy notes. The palate is firm and structured with a touch of firm phenolics. But there is lovely vinosty to the expressive, exuberant palate. A keeper that is starting to reveal more of itself. (Nov 2020)"
94 points James Suckling: "A rosé Champagne for red-wine drinkers, thanks to all the red-berry and earthy character, plus some rather serious tannins. The long finish is carried by a positive hint of bitterness. Pinot noir dominates the blend, of which 14% was red wine made specifically for this product. Drink or hold. (1/5/22)"
93 points Wine & Spirits: "This is a powerful Rosé, built with the addition of 13 percent red wine (pinot noir from Bouzy) and 11 percent of the blend aged in oak foudres. It starts off youthfully intense, with a smoky black-tea edge to the tannins. The wine is structured and savory, freighted with limestone earthiness until it grows bright and racy with air. This is built to last. (Dec 2021)"
93 points La Revue du Vin de France: "This house has a long history of expertise in rosés. While the non-vintage brut remains unifying without being oily, the vintage 2012 marks pinots on maturity and the sparkling side of the grape variety. A vinous cuvée capable of ageing well. (Jan 2022)"
