96+ points Luis Gutiérrez (Wine Advocate): "The 2023 Cobrana feels more serious and complete, keeping an ethereal side but with more depth and a little earthier this year. It comes from different vineyards in the village of Congosto at some 750 meters above sea level on degraded blue slate and red clay soils, one of the last zones of Bierzo to ripen. The full clusters of all the varieties fermented in a 6,100-liter open-top oak vat with a long maceration but a soft extraction and matured in 300-liter barrels (now that she has more space, she's moving toward 500-liter barrels) and 1,500-liter amphorae for 14 months. It has 13.5% alcohol, denoting a complete cycle and good ripeness, which means full development of aromas and flavors. The wine has more depth, with tannins and layers. It's polished and elegant but with more clout. 8,400 bottles produced. Drink 2026-2035. (07/10/25)."

96 points Joaquín Hidalgo (Vinous): "The 2023 Cobrana is Mencía sourced from the village of Cobrana, Bierzo. This aged in a mix of amphora and barrel. Fermented with 100% stems, it opens with notes of herbs and underbrush, accented by orange and flowers. Juicy and flavorful, this has a compact core with a ferruginous, slightly reductive edge. The 2023 is interesting and well defined. Drink 2025-2043. (09/25)."

94 points Virginie Boone (Jebdunnuck.com): "A medium-bodied, village wine that blends different parcels into layers of millefeuille, the 2023 Cobrana is Mencia, Palomino, Dona Blanca, and Godello, among a few others, from vines of nearly 100 years old or more. Peppery spice pops off the palate, the red grapes whole-cluster fermented and the entirety aged 15-16 months, one part in barrel and one part in amphora. There’s a lot of grip and tension, salty minerality, spice and smoke. Incredible. Drink now through 2033. Drink 2026-2033. (01/02/26)."
