95 points Patricio Tapia (Descorchados): "Vertice is a blend of carmenere (52%) and syrah (48%) from the highest vineyards (470 meters above sea level) of these varieties in Apalta, from vines that Ventisquero planted in that zone of Colchagua around the year 2000. Aged in barrels for almost two years, this is a wine that has always privileged the fruit, but this vintage—from a warm year that made it difficult to obtain lighter wines—manages to show the fruitier side of the two varieties. A red that's juicy and yet has great depth—it’s intense, smooth, and friendly with no rough edges. Drink it now or cellar it for a few years. (Jan 2023)"
92 points JoaquÃn Hidalgo (Vinous): "The 2020 Carménère – Syrah Vertice is 51% Carménère and 49% Syrah from Apalta Colchagua, aged for 22 months in 40% new barrels. Dark garnet red. The nose presents notes of undergrowth, boldo and ripe fruit such as blackberry, alongside country herbs, ash and aromas from the aging process. Broad on the palate with grippy tannins, precise freshness and a finish of dark fruit and herbs. It’s remarkable how expressive and juicy this is given the warm year. Drink: 2022-2030. (Jun 2022)"
92 points James Suckling: "Elegant red berries, cassis and some white pepper and spices on the nose. This is juicy and fresh with a medium body and exuberant, plummy fruit on the palate. Carmenere and syrah. Delicious now, but can hold, too. (4/20/22)"
