95 points James Suckling: "Dark, smoky and meaty, this is an explosively rich wine with tonnes of smoked bacon and spicy character. Stacks of elderberry at the seriously tannic, driving finish. An unusual cuvee of 70% mourvedre, 20% of grenache and 10% syrah. Vinified and matured in Demi-Muid casks and thereby this producer’s only Chateauneuf that is matured in oak. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold. (4/20/23)"
92-95 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Based on 70% Mourvedre, 20% Grenache, and 10% Syrah, the 2021 Châteauneuf Du Pape La Part Des Anges sports a dense purple hue to go with incredibly pure, vibrant aromatics of black and blue fruits, ground pepper, spice, and spring flowers, with a kiss of background oak. There's always a touch of barrique in this wine, yet the purity is spot on, it's medium to full-bodied, has ripe, polished tannins, and a great finish. It's a brilliant 2021 in the making. (11/11/22)"
94 points Jeff Leve (The Wine Cellar Insider): "One of the darker wines of the vintage, its blend of 70% Mourvedre, 20% Grenache and 10% Syrah works well this year. Smoke, flowers, spice, meat, espresso, incense, and dark red fruits in the nose get even better on the palate. The wine is lush, with a nice depth of flavor, richness, elegance, length, freshness, and minerality in the finish. Drink from 2025 - 2037. (Jan 2024)"
