Producer notes: "At the end of the 1980s, two Burgundians, Jacques Seysses, founder of Domaine Dujac, and Aubert de Villaine (of DRC), associated with a Parisian friend, Michel Macaux, set out in search of vines in the south of France. The project is based on their belief that we can produce great wines in the region. Convinced by their Burgundian experience that the quality of great wines lies in the vines, the new owners invest heavily from the outset in the renewal and maintenance of the vineyard. They seek to make refined wines that reflect the quality of their terroir. The vines backing onto Mont Aurélien face the Massif de la Sainte Baume. This situation ensures cool nights, which promote a long vegetative cycle of the vines. These conditions are ideal for obtaining controlled yields, good acidity, slow maturation, and enhancing real complexity.
Tasting Notes: Domaine de Triennes is a pale pink color. A compelling bouquet of strawberries and white flowers with a touch of vanilla. Expressive and elegant, the palate offers mouthwatering freshness. An embodiment of the Mediterranean in the glass. Cinsault, with Grenache, Syrah and Merlot."
