93 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "[$60 list] The 2019 Barolo Berri is tightly wound and austere in the early going. Crushed red berry fruit, iron, dried herbs and white pepper give the Berri a striking aromatic top register. The tannins are a bit nervy, though, so a few years in bottle are warranted. Frost decimated the crop at Torriglione, which is why this wine (typically the Barolo del Comune di La Morra) is Berri in 2019. To be exact, there is 4% Torriglione, as that was the wine used for topping. Drink: 2025-2037. (Jan 2023)"
93 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "Spicy, this red evokes strawberry, cherry, medicinal herbs and mineral flavors. Bears the austere profile of the vintage, yet is balanced and persists on the long finish. Best from 2026 through 2043."
93 points Ian D'Agata (Terroir Sense): "Bright deep red in colour. Aromas and flavours of crushed red cherry, mint, mountain violets and pine needles are very pure and lifted. Vivid acidity provides outstanding clarity and cut on the long zippy finish. This wine clearly lacks the flesh, even the opulence, brought on by Torrriglione’s grapes, but is a fairly accurate rendition of what the Berri cru can deliver. Which is the way it should be. Well done Nicola. Drinking window: 2026-2039. (12/8/23)"
