96 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The delicious 2023 Latricières from Trapet has a deep blackberry fruit character with hints of violets, rosemary and a firm salty mineral underpinning. The texture is densely tannic and very firm. Pierre Trapet explains that this is because of the proximity to the cool winds of the Combe Grisard and to the abundance of limestone pebbles in the soil. Just about half of the grapes are fermented on native yeasts as whole clusters before ageing in cask (40% new). Drinking Window: 2028-2050. (11/12/24)"
96 points Bettane & Desseauve Guide (2026).
94-96 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Mid ruby, not quite clear. The nose builds steadily, but this is one of the wines slightly out of tempo today. Certainly, it is gorgeously generous, high-class fruit with still a saline note. We had a discussion about how Latricières is becoming much more accessible earlier. 60% whole bunch vinification. (Nov 2024)"
94-96 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru includes around 50% whole cluster. This has a very detailed bouquet with black fruit, crushed stone and touches of freshly rolled tobacco that come through with time. The palate is medium-bodied, ripe and generous with a confit-like entry and hints of black cherries, orange rind, marmalade and crushed stone. It moves toward a structured, tightly wound finish, with a hint of licorice on the aftertaste. This is superb. Drink: 2028-2052. (Jan 2025)"
95 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "The coolest of the Gevrey Grand Crus thanks to the Combe Grisard (Pierre says there is often a 2-degree C difference between here and Chambertin), this is nonetheless impeccably ripe in this vintage. High-toned aromas of cracked kindling twigs attest to the 40-50% whole cluster. Baking spices, cherry compote and crushed stones scent the wine throughout the vibrant finish. (2025)"
92-95 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .74 ha parcel). Slightly riper aromas features notes of plum, dark currant, violet, lilac, wet stone and a touch of forest floor character. The racy, delicious and intensely stony larger-bodied flavors that retain fine detail on the youthfully austere, compact and strikingly persistent finish. This beautifully understated effort could use better depth but it has an admirable track record of improving with bottle aging. Drink: 2035+. (Jan 2025)"
92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Aromas of orange zest, dark berries, smoke and boot polish introduce the 2023 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru, a medium to full-bodied, supple and dynamic wine that's suave, long and penetrating. (Jan 2025)"
