98 points Bettane & Desseauve Guide (2023).

97 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "A stunning wine, with black cherry fruit aromas of incredible concentration. There is a lovely sweetness to the fruit and a beguiling suggestion of roses on the nose. Masterful, with the power to age for decades. The Trapet family has owned a large chunk of Latricières since 1904. Grapes ripen late here since it sits in the Combe Grisard, bathed in the cool winds from the Hautes-Côtes. However, the alluvial soil ripens fruit well. Drinking Window: 2025-2060. (May 2022)"

94-97 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Last picked along with their Aligoté, 90% whole bunch vinification. The bouquet is a tiny bit animal but not phenolic. Soon gets pushed aside anyway by a superb concentration of dancing ripe fruit. A touch of toasty reduction to finish, a little bit dry but a superb wealth of fruit to cover it. Very much for the very long term. Terrific concentration of fruit to finish backed by good acidity. (Nov 2021)"

96 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2020 Latricières-Chambertin from Domaine Trapet is equally compelling out of the blocks. This vineyard always produces cooler fruit tones, and this is even true in the hot summer of 2020, as it offers up scents of dark berries, cassis, cigar smoke, grilled meats, espresso, dark soil tones, a hint of stem tones and a discreet framing of cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and tangy, with a fine core of black fruit, beautiful transparency, ripe, firm and well-integrated tannins and a long, tangy and complex finish. Fine juice. 2037-2100. (Nov/Dec 2021)"

96 points La Revue du Vin de France: "A little reserved on the nose, the Latricières pushes the cursor of the maturity and presents a generous and big volume matter, at the limit of the opulence. (2023)"

93-95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru, which was picked around 7 September, has a vibrant nose with a mixture of red and black fruit, crushed stone (basalt?) and faint liquorice scents in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, cohesive and with great depth. There is just a touch of oak to be subsumed on the finish, so give this 4-6 years in bottle. Drink: 2026-2050. (May 2022)"

93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .74 ha parcel). There is a vague suggestion of menthol to the aromas of green tea, cool red berries, the sauvage and a plethora of floral elements. There isn't as much volume or density to the middleweight flavors compared to those of the Chapelle, but here they are racier, more refined and notably more chiseled while the lingering and very firm finish exudes minerality, indeed the finish seems built on it. This too is going to need extended patience, both to add depth and further flesh out. Drink: 2035+. (Jan 2022)"
