96 points/'Le Coup de Coeur,' La Revue du Vin de France: "Petite Chapelle possesses a unique energy and vibration, full of precision and natural distinction, adorned with a hint of violet. (2026)"

94 points Bettane & Desseauve Guide (2026).

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Petite Chapelle 1er Cru is a step up from the previous Premier Crus in terms of mineralité and sophistication. It has wonderful fruit concentration, with a mixture of raspberry and blackcurrant laced with light graphite scents. The palate is medium-bodied, focused and well structured with a slightly confit-like entry, finely chiseled tannins and a limestone-driven, minerally finish. This is very promising. Drink: 2027-2045. (Jan 2025)"

91-94 points/'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A wonderfully elegant, wafting and intricately layered nose features notes of the essence of red pinot fruit, rose petal, violet and crushed anise. There is a highly attractive sense of underlying tension to the more elegant and more mineral-driven flavors that terminate in a youthfully austere, chiseled and impressively long finish. This is beautifully balanced and pretty much textbook Petite Chapelle. Drink: 2035+. (Jan 2025)"

91-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "A continuation of the Ergot plot but not the same soil. It has much the same mother rock as Chapelle-Chambertin, with 40cm of soil. For En Ergot the topsoil is similar but without the mother rock. Petite Chapelle has older vines as En Ergot had to be replanted after the 1985 frost. Fresh ruby red, more oak showing on the nose. When that blows off there is a lot of wine here. Excellent density and a nobility of dark raspberry fruit, much more grip than Corbeaux and more finesse than Clos Prieur. Good acidity and persistence. (Nov 2024)"

91-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Petite Chapelle is more structured than the Combottes, offering up notes of orange zest, plums and smoky spices, followed by a medium-bodied, taut and chalky palate. (Jan 2025)"
