95 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Pierre and Louis Trapet remarked that this was their grandmother's favourite wine; the family has long vinified the grapes from this 0.35-hectare parcel separately; it is now trained on stakes and grown without hedging to 'respect the place' according to the brothers. The result is supple, ripe and silky, with expressive pomegranate and cherry fruit aromas touched with rose petals. Still, there is more tannin and grip than the nearby En Ergot. Ideally, one would wait five years before opening this wine. Drinking Window: 2030-2065. (11/2/23)"

93-95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Petite Chapelle 1er Cru has an intense bouquet: blackberry, wild strawberry and white pepper from the 50% whole bunches, later, touches of pencil box. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit. It’s sorbet-fresh with veins of blood orange and marmalade. It is quite structured towards the finish and linear, so afford it several years in bottle. Drink: 2027-2048. (Jan 2024)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Petite Chapelle is more mineral but also more concentrated than the En Ergot bottling. Bursting with notes of rose petals, raspberries and baking chocolate, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and refined, with an intense core of fruit, lively acids and polished tannins, concluding with a saline finish. (1/18/24)"

91-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Concentrated mid purple. A little barrel effect but otherwise a very concentrated red berry fruit. There is currently a strong coconut scent behind from the barrel, which will of course fade into the wine. Still very early in its development, it seems. Very different to En Ergot. (Nov 2023)"

92-93 points/'Fine+,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Gevrey Petite Chapelle is showing well in its 2022 iteration. The combination of the rich vintage and the mineral terroir really shows what this vineyard can offer. It’s spicy, with good tension. Hmmm; perhaps I need both the Ergo and the Petite Chapelle, they are both that good. Drink fro 2032. (1/11/24)"

91-93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A more perfumed and more elegant nose consists mostly of cool red berries and a plethora of spice and floral elements. The notably finer and more precise medium weight flavors are not denser but they are notably more mineral-driven while exhibiting a marked austerity on the impressively long finish. This isn't as powerful though it is still very compact and patience will absolutely be necessary. Drink: 2034+. (Jan 2024)"
