94 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "This intriguing wine is from the premier cru immediately north of Mazis-bas. Louis Trapet remarked that their vines could be called 'Clos des Corbeaux' since a wall once surrounded this vineyard. The grapes from this small holding were entirely fermented as whole clusters, bringing a hint of rustic charm to the curranty fruit. The texture is firm and tannic, but there is more depth and complexity here than in the riper Petite Chapelle. This wine should open nicely in three to five years and will drink well for another 15 to 20 after that. Drinking Window: 2030-2075. (11/2/23)"

91-94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "Moderate wood frames the ripe and fresh aromas of plum and dark cherry that are laced with earth and sauvage wisps. There is both good verve and richness to the lightly mineral-inflected middleweight plus flavors that possess a seductive mid-palate mouthfeel thanks to the relatively fine-grained tannins shaping the powerful, serious and compact if slightly warm finish. From a texture standpoint, this excellent and highly complex effort walks a fine line as it's not an elegant wine though it's not really rustic either. Fine development potential here. Drink: 2034+. (Jan 2024)"

93 points/'Very Fine,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "This Gevrey 1er cru was previously a part of the Capita cuvee, and now has a life of its own. It’s a rich, hedonistic wine with plenty of floral notes. With bracing mid-palate energy, it is airy, with fine fruit and real delicacy. This is an enjoyable glass, with good organic depth. Echalas-trained, while not ultra-complex, it is a beauty. Drink from 2032. (1/11/24)"

91-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Another cuvée that's now being bottled separately is the 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Corbeaux, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and ample wine that's layered and textural, evocative of cherries, wild berries, smoke and dark chocolate. This terroir, located in between the village itself and the Mazis-Chambertin, sometimes produces somewhat rustic wines, but that certainly isn't the case here. (1/18/24)"

90-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "The Corbeaux is partly their own and partly a sharecropping agreement with the Rotisserie de Chambertin restaurant. Medium deep mid purple. One aspect of this wine is softer red fruit, another is the slightly raw finish, which could come from a chauffe tartare barrel – though Louis checked, and they did not use one for this vineyard. Slightly understated, yet still quite long. (Nov 2023)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Corbeaux 1er Cru, containing 50% whole bunches with around 25% new oak, was showing a little reduction on the nose. There’s more red fruit here, quite ripe and generous. The palate is medium-bodied with velvety smooth tannins, perhaps the most exotic and fleshiest of Trapet's 2022s and maybe that warmth compromises some of the precision on the finish. Drink: 2026-2042. (Jan 2024)"
