95 points Bettane & Desseauve Guide (2026).
94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Sitting on its own for several years now as the Cuvée Capita blend has been disbanded, this shines particularly brightly. Grilled black cherries, baked mulberries, lavender and warm charcoal create a web of complexity. The tannins caress while the acidity flirts up the back palate. Highly compelling already. (2025)"
92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes has turned out very well, standing out as the most complete premier cru in the cellar this year. Offering up aromas of blackberries, incense and spices, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and pillowy, with lively acids and an expansive finish. (Jan 2025)"
91-94 points/'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(100% whole cluster vinification). The high level of whole cluster vinification is very much in evidence as the aromatic profile is both exceptionally fresh and markedly floral in character with background nuances of red cherry, ripe raspberry and spice. The caressing, delicious and highly energetic medium weight flavors that display a more subtle minerality on the balanced, moderately austere and dusty finale. This is really quite stylish, indeed even classy and a wine that should also age effortlessly. Drink: 2035+. (Jan 2025)"
