98 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Already pleasant, the Chapelle-Chambertin climbs in intensity, very integrated and vertical in its flavors, with a radiant, soft, and serene finish. (2026)"

94-97 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "A deeper crimson purple and clearly more energy on the nose. This is vibrant, concentrated, maybe showing more stems (80% used), certainly an excellent fruit acid balance without the acidity. Some red cherries come floating past in waves at the back of the palate, displaying a fine nobility. (Nov 2024)"

96 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "This beautifully expressive Chapelle-Chambertin has an abundance of ripe wild strawberry and pomegranate fruit on the initial attack, with hints of spice and tea. Pierre Trapet explains that Chapelle-Chambertin is the polar opposite of Latricières – a hot place with warm nights in the summer, particularly here at the top of a small slope. The soils are very thin, just 20cm in some places, meaning it ripens quickly and is often the first grand cru picked. The proximity of the limestone gives the wine a high acidity that provides tension in a hot year such as 2023. Drinking Window: 2030-2060. (11/12/24)"

96 points Bettane & Desseauve Guide (2026).

95 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Sitting right on the bedrock, this is typically one of the first sites harvested. An ambitious 80% whole cluster dosing comes into refreshing effect, indeed, with evergreen scents, wintergreen and cool spices. Finely-etched tannins, floating acidity and intense minerality give this seriousness. This will easily benefit from six to seven years of cellar age. (2025)"

94-95 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2023 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru has turned out very nicely, wafting from the glass with aromas of raspberries, blood orange, rose petals, incense and spices. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and fleshy, with a deep core of succulent fruit, chalky tannins and a long, saline finish, it reveals excellent potential. (Jan 2025)"

93-95 points/'Sweet spot,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from two parcels of vines in Chapelle proper measuring .55 ha, one planted in '65 and the other in '38). A slightly riper nose offers up notes of plum, spice, violet and a range of earth nuances. The rich, generous and sappy medium-bodied flavors coat the palate with sappy dry extract before culminating in a serious, firm and youthfully austere finale that just goes on and on. This is impressive and I particularly like overall sense of harmony. Drink: 2038+. (Jan 2025)"

93-95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru includes around 60% whole cluster. It was unusually reticent on the nose, a little earthy and a bit sullen on the day that I visited. The palate is medium-bodied, quite linear and strict, with fine tension and an understated entry where the limestone terroir comes through. Hopefully, it will gain more flesh and weight by bottling time. At the moment, I err toward the Latricières-Chambertin. Drink: 2028-2045. (Jan 2025)"
