94 points Josh Raynolds (Vinous): "[$37 list] Deep, vivid ruby. A complex, highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe cherry and blackberry, along with building floral and exotic spice notes. Stains the palate with alluringly sweet black/blue fruit preserve, candied violet and spicecake flavors that deepen slowly on the back half while maintaining urgency. Displays a compelling blend of richness and finesse finishing strikingly long and precise, with repeating florality and harmonious tannins that come on late. Drink: 2023-2032. (Oct 2019)"

93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2018 Morgon Vieilles Vignes bursts from the glass with a high-toned bouquet of red cherries, rose petals and orange rind. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and elegant, with lively acids, melting tannins and a succulent core of fruit. This is a charming rendition of a cuvée that's routinely among the appellation's most elegant, and it's already drinking well. Thévenet told me that there will be two bottlings, the wine reviewed here being the first of them. Drink: 2019-2026. (Aug 2019)"
