97 points Jane Anson (Inside Bordeaux): "(70% Pinot Bianco, 28% Chardonnay, 2% Sauvignon Blanc). A little tighter in structure than the 2013, lean and crisp while delivering juice and flavour. Slate and citrus, lime blossom and white peach, a vertical rise through the mid palate, and an incredibly long finish, pummice stone texture wrapped in silk. A vintage with long slow ripening, three weeks later than normal with harvesting through to middle of October. A brilliant wine from Rudi Kofler and the team, whole cluster pressing, malolactic fermentation and ageing on lees for 12 months in large wooden barrels. Drink: 2025-2040. Alcohol 14%. (11/20/24)"
97 points James Suckling: "The Alps and the Mediterranean meet in a glass! Mountain freshness (think wild herbs) and bright fruit (think Amalfi lemon) come together in a wine that marries a stack of fine tannins with wet-stone minerality on the the tightly wound palate. Make no mistake, this has been built for very long aging, so decant to aerate, if you drink it any time soon. Breathtaking energy at the very long finish. Drink or hold. (5/17/22)"
Producer notes: "70% Pinot Bianco, 28% Chardonnay, 2% Sauvignon Blanc. Color: brilliant straw yellow. Smell: rich and complex on the nose; multifaceted aromas of citrus fruit, white pepper and herbs as well as a delicate smoky note. Taste: The wine’s elegance and perfect balance are the product of its remarkable structure and subtle texture, which give the wine its unmistakable character. Its extremely long finish is more than pleasant; it leaves its mark in memory as the supreme expression of a mineral terroir that is unique in the world. Alcohol 14%."
