Rancho Mirandillas 2024 - located less than 1 km from the small town of the same name, in Ayotlan Municipality, Jalisco. It sits at 1,595 meters above sea level, which makes it one of the lowest altitude (and highest average temperature) fields ever used for Tequila Ocho production. The land is flat with some small stones, has a deep clayish soil with medium fertility, and is grayish in color. In this area the main crops are corn, wheat and sorghum, and this the first time in more than 50 years that the field was used for growing agave. The field is mostly surrounded by corn and sorghum fields, thus fully exposed to sunlight with only some guamuchil trees by the East.
