97 points Aldo Fiordelli (Decanter): "If the 2016 Pino is a delicious mediterranean Bordeaux blend, the 2016 Biserno is a serious wine to age. From one of the best vintages for the vineyards around the Bolgherese road, it shines for intensity and restrained fruitiness, with black as well as fresher red fruits. Complex and layered with leafy notes and an almost bell pepper aroma, it's full of earthy minerality in depth with dark chocolate and myrtle. Youthful with great extraction of refined, ripe tannins and firm acidity. Drinking Window: 2020-2040. (8/27/20)"
96 points/'Cellar Selection,' Kerin O'Keefe (Wine Enthusiast): "Aromas of cedar, cassis, camphor and oak-driven spice are front and center on this fragrant, full-bodied red. On the precise, savory palate, firm, elegant tannins offer polished support for juicy red berry, licorice and tobacco while fresh acidity keeps it balanced. It's young but already shows an impressive depth of flavors. Drink 2021–2031. Alcohol 14.5%. (May 2020)"

94 points Wine Spectator: "[$200 list] Black currant, violet, mint, bell pepper, tobacco and spice aromas and flavors permeate this red. Lean and taut, with fine overall balance and plenty of reserve in the tank. Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Best from 2023 through 2035. (2/29/20)"
94 points James Suckling: "Complex aromas of dark fruit and smoky meat with hints of black licorice. Subtle yet rich. Full bodied, very velvety and round yet fine grained in the tannins. Extremely long and juicy. Better after 2021. (4/13/19)"
