93 points Tim Atkin, MW: "Sandy loam soils in cooler San Pablo are the origin of this good value Malbec from Jean Claude Berrouet and Faián Valenzuela. Smooth, floral and refreshing, with engaging violet and mountain herb aromas, subtle French and 15% American oak and layers of red berry and blackberry fruit. 2024-2030. (2023)."

92 points Joaquín Hidalgo (Vinous): "The 2021 Malbec Alta Collection comes from San Pablo in the Uco Valley and was aged for 12 months in a combination of first and second-use French (95%) and American oak barrels (5%). Purple in hue. The raw nose offers fruity aromas of plum and cherry accompanied by mountain herbs and violets. It's dry and juicy on the palate with taut tannins and a tart, refreshing mouthfeel that establishes a nimble, easygoing flow. This is a precise mountain red from a cool year. Drink 2023-2032. (Jun 2023)."

92 points James Suckling: "Blackberries, violets and some subtle grilled spices. A medium-to full-bodied red with lots of dusty, powdery tannins that provide a fine structure for the fruit. The quantity and quality of the tannin here are impressive. Drink from 2023. (05/03/22)."

90 points Wine Spectator: "Spicy floral and mace details mingle nicely with a vibrant, juicy mix of raspberry and cherry flavors in this version, which picks up abundant spicy details on the finish around mineral-laced tannins. Drink now. 13,400 cases made, 11,000 cases imported. (08/31/23)."
