This wine has a duskier side but is still so lifted and elegant – aromas of smoky violets, dried orange peels and a petrichor mineral tone. The palate is lush but bright, balancing darker elements with the expected elegance and freshness of Talley's wines. Tart blackberries and mint, white peppercorn and a savoury black tea element deliver this wine to its gorgeous finish. Drinking window 2025-2036 (Apr 2025)"

As with all of the Pinot Noirs here, it plays in the medium-bodied, elegant (at times mid-weight) style of the estate, but the balance is spot on, it has beautiful tannins, and a great finish. This incredibly seductive, elegant 2021 will evolve for at least a decade. Drink: 2023-2033. (Aug 2023)"
