98 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2012 Comtes de Champagne Rosé is magnificent. Rich and explosive in the glass, the 2012 Comtes Rosé dazzles from start to finish. I like it even more today than I liked it last year! A rush of red cherry fruit, kirsch, blood orange, cinnamon and rose petal soars out of the glass. Vertical structure and tons of energy are the signatures. I would be thrilled to own this. Drink: 2026-2037. (Apr 2025)"
97 points Yohan Castaing (Wine Advocate): "Evoking a superb bouquet, the remarkable 2012 Brut Comtes de Champagne Rosé reveals aromas of mint, strawberries, ripe red berries, tangerine, plums, orange rind and blood orange. Full-bodied, vinous and concentrated, it has a delicately, perfectly balanced phenolic mid-palate framed by a pinpoint mousse of striking finesse and delicacy, concluding with a vibrant, vertical finish enhanced by gastronomic bitterness. A blend of 70% Pinot Noir, including 14% as red wine, and 30% Chardonnay, disgorged with a dosage of nine grams per liter, this is one of the most elegant and refined Comtes de Champagne Rosé releases from Taittinger. Drink: 2024-2054. (Oct 2024)"
97 points Tasting Book: "A radiant, deep salmon-pink hue with a luminous brilliance, edged by delicate copper highlights. The effervescence is fine and persistent, forming an elegant mousse that glides gracefully to the surface. The aromatic profile is a masterpiece of complexity and refinement. Initial notes of wild strawberries, red currants, and raspberries burst forth, followed by layers of blood orange zest and pomegranate. As the wine opens, deeper tones of rose petals, hibiscus, and toasted brioche emerge, intertwined with subtle hints of almond cream and a whisper of spice--cinnamon and pink peppercorn. On the palate, this champagne is a seamless blend of power and finesse. The attack is bright and vibrant, showcasing a core of ripe red berries and candied citrus fruits. The mid-palate unfolds with creamy textures balanced by a lively acidity that brings precision and freshness. Flavors of dried apricots, marzipan, and chalky minerality add depth and dimension, leading to a long, luxurious finish. Delicate notes of saffron, crushed strawberries, and a touch of salinity linger elegantly. The wine exhibits a perfect harmony of richness and tension. Aged for nearly a decade, it delivers a remarkable balance between its generous fruit profile and its taut, mineral backbone. The silky mousse and well-integrated dosage enhance the overall sophistication, while the vibrant acidity promises excellent ageing potential. Drink: Now-2045+."
96-97 points Essi Avellan, MW: "For a few years now Taittinger are working on its rosé style, bringing forward a more elegant side of Comtes de Champagne. Here, 60% of Bouzy Pinot Noir (14% red wine) meet Chardonnay from Avize, Chouilly, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger. That unmistakable cherry and spice nose of Bouzy greet you on the nose with dried flower and orange peel touches. On the palate it is fruit-packed yet savoury with firm tannins brining grip and age-worthiness. Really youthful still with plenty more aromatic complexity to emerge. But there is fine polish to it all already today. (Jun 2025)"
95 points Wine Spectator: "[$400 list] Enticing floral and spice notes lead the way, but a pure beam of strawberry pâte de fruit and flavors of pastry cream, passion fruit coulis and salted Marcona almond expand on the satiny mousse, supported by finely meshed, mouthwatering acidity. Long on the finish, with an echo of chalky minerality. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now through 2040. 500 cases imported. (9/10/25)"
