94 points Audrey Frick (JebDunnuck.com): " The NV Champagne Folies De La Marquetterie Brut is made with 55% Pinot Noir (notable, given that Taittinger is a Chard house) all coming from the Premiere Cru Pierry (which is around the castle) and the rest Chardonnay. About 30-35% of the Pinot Noir was raised in old oak barrels, with the base vintage of 2017, and 10-20% reserve wine. The wine takes on a savory note and is a bit tropical in its profile, with ripe pineapple, golden fruit, fresh flowers, and a light herbaceous tone. Rounded and full-bodied, with the oak adding a bit of texture over its imprint on the wine, it has a silky, luxurious, ripe profile with a fluffy mousse and a clean, savory finish. Generous and open now, it will provide a solid drinking window over the next 5-8 years. 9 grams per liter dosage. Drink: 2023-2031. (11/17/23)"

94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The latest release of Taittinger's NV Brut Folies de la Marquetterie is showing superbly, bursting from the glass with aromas of fresh bread, crisp stone fruit, buttered toast, citrus oil and mirabelle plums. Full-bodied, vinous and fleshy, with an enveloping core of fruit, racy acids and a pillowy pinpoint mousse, it's a gourmand, concentrated wine with the substance to evolve with grace in the cellar.. Drink: 2021-2038. (9/23/21)"

93 points Tom Hewson (TimAtkin.com): "55% Pinot Noir, 45% Chardonnay from the single vineyard at the Château de la Marquetterie in Pierry. Base vintage unknown - current release as of November 2022. Folies is on top form here, a fine counterpoint to the controlled, classy Prélude with its dynamic mix of sparky gunpowder, lime and char, beneath which sits succulent peach and yellow plum fruit. A lick of spice and umami intensity on the palate, clean and crisp but full of interest. (Dec 2022)"

92 points Tyson Stelzer (The Champagne Guide): "(tasted in 2022 in Australia; base vintage 2016, disgorged July 2020; cork). Medium, bright straw hue. A cuvée of power and depth, with pinot noir and chardonnay of ripeness and strength heightened by partial barrel vinification. It projects baked apple and fig amidst ripe grapefruit tension. Wood work accentuates biscuit, ginger and spice. Fleshier, fuller and more brooding than ever, this is a main-course-ready cuvée that contrasts the dynamic and fresh mood of the rest of the range. (Edition VII; 2024)"

92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Taittinger “Folies de la Marquetterie” is a lovely wine that always, to my palate, needs some time in the cellar to blossom after it is released. The team at Taittinger give this single vineyard wine, from parcels in the village of Pierry, five full years aging sur latte prior to release, but it always seems a bit tightly-knit when it first hits the market. This bottle had been in a friend’s cellar for several years and was starting to really stretch its wings at the time of our tasting. The cépages is fifty-five percent chardonnay and forty-five percent pinot noir, with a portion of the vins clairs barrel-fermented these days. The 2015 Base Year version is lovely today, offering up a complex aromatic constellation of peach, apple, a touch of maritime brininess, stony soil tones, brioche and a lovely topnote of orange zest. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and zesty, with a lovely core of fruit, fine soil signature, refined mousse and a long, complex and beautifully balanced finish. Though this is now nine years out from its base year, it is still in climbing mode and will probably even be a better drink a few more years down the road. I always enjoy this bottling from Taittinger and cannot understand why it has such a low profile in the US market! 2024-2045. (May/Jun 2024)"

92 points Wine Spectator: "[$126 list] A tightly meshed Champagne, crisp and focused, with the lacy, lively mousse carrying flavors of black currant, nectarine, blanched almond and spring forest. Reveals accents of lime blossoms and ground ginger that linger on the creamy finish. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now through 2028. 50 cases imported. (11/30/23)"

92 points James Suckling: "Attractively fruity and fragrant, with notes of oranges, peaches, cherry blossom and Danish pastries, with some earthy and honey undertones. Ripe and creamy on the palate, with silky bubbles and deliciously fleshy stone fruit. 55% pinot noir and 45% chardonnay. Drink now. (7/6/23)"

92 points Falstaff: "Subtle bouquet with notes of toast. Delicate citrus fruit and notes of green apple and peach. Juicy acidity on the palate, subtle citrus notes here too, fine mousse, long saline finish. R.S.: 9g/L. Alcohol 12.5%. (9/30/22)"
