91 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "This sample of Taittinger “La Française” non-vintage Brut was tasted from half bottle. The cépages is its customary forty percent chardonnay, thirty-five percent pinot noir and twenty-five percent pinot meunier and was aged three years on its fine lees. The wine offers up a lovely nose of apple, pear, chalky soil tones, bread dough and a topnote of white lilies. On the palate the wine is crisp, full-bodied and focused, with a good core and soil undertow, elegant mousse and a long, complex and very nicely balanced finish. This is very tasty and should age well over the mid-term. 2023-2035. (May/Jun 2023)"

91 points Stephen Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "[$62 list] The NV Brut La Française is based on 40% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 25% Pinot Meunier, all fermented in stainless steel and blended with 30% of reserve wines. It is a pure, fresh and well-structured Brut that seems more elegant, complex and round than the Brut Réserve. The persistent finish is clear, fresh and well structured, with refreshing lemon flavors and a nice grip. My sample was said to be bottled in 2014 and disgorged in March 2017 with nine grams of dosage. There is good length and tension here as well as sweet cherry aromas in the aftertaste. Drink: 2017-2025. (Nov 2017)"

90 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): "(60% pinot noir and pinot meunier and 40% chardonnay): Light gold. Ripe pit fruits, orange pith and toasty lees on the nose. Toasty and velvety in texture, offering ripe nectarine and poached pear flavors with a bracing kick of bitter citrus zest. Finishes sappy and long, with lingering smokiness and a touch of sweet butter. (Dec 2013)"
