96-98 points Essi Avellan, MW: "Comtes de Champagne lives up to all expectations. Despite the difficult growing season, the result is shiny and coolly reserved - a classic Comtes. The underlying toastiness is there, waiting to be amplified over time. Fruitiness is pristine with lemon, lime and fruit candies mingling with crunchy pear and green apple notes. Immediately charming on the driven, airy palate of great refinement. A beautiful vintage for Comtes. (Sep 2025)"

97 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2014 Comtes de Champagne is pristine. In this tasting, it comes across as a mini-2008, similar in its linear personality, with just a touch more mid-palate creaminess. Readers will find a Comtes that plays in the realm of tension and energy. Citrus confit, white flowers, chalk, mint and chamomile are all finely sketched. Light tropical overtones grace the finish. What an absolute delight. The 2014 can be enjoyed now or cellared. Dosage is 9 grams per liter. Drink: 2026-2044. (Apr 2025)"

97 points Yohan Castaing (Wine Advocate): "Closed in style and character like the 2013, Taittinger's 2014 Brut Blanc de Blancs Comtes de Champagne reveals aromas of ripe orchard fruit, confit citrus, dried flowers, herbs, spring blossoms and mirabelle mingled with customary autolytic notes. Full-bodied, seamless and enrobing, it has a delicate, elegant, fleshy core of fruit and racy acids, all enhanced by a saline, fresh and penetrating finish marked by finesse and elegance. This refined, chalky-inflected Comtes de Champagne has the potential to age gracefully over the next 30-40 years. Drink: 2024-2054. (Oct 2024)"

97 points Ian D'Agata Wine Review: "The 2014 Comtes de Champagne is a true knockout. Pale straw yellow in colour with a tense bead of small bubbles, it explodes from the glass offering wonderfully pure and precise aromas of apricots, pear, citrus confit, hazelnuts, lemons, white flowers, chalk and hints of licorice and chamomile. Creamy and soft on entry, with a rounded, gentle mouthfeel, then turns more classically austere and tapered in the cool-climate style of the 2014 vintage. Extremely well-balanced, it manages the neat trick of combining a fleshy ripe personality similar to the 2012 Comtes and the more jagged, steely being of the 2013. The long captivating finish shows delicate nuances of honey and tropical fruit. 100% grand cru Chardonnay from the grand cru communes of Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Mesnil-sur-Oger, and Oger. Drinking window: 2030-2045. (12/22/25)"

97 points Claire Nesbitt (JamesSuckling.com): "Apricots, hazelnuts, lemons, white flowers, sliced almonds and hints of licorice on the nose. It's creamy and layered, with soft, rounded bubbles that spread across the palate. Lovely balance of breadth, ripeness and freshness, with delicious wildflower honey and nut notes lingering. 100% grand cru chardonnay from Avize, Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Cramant and Chouilly. Drink or hold. (7/11/25)"

97 points Bettanne & Desseauve (2026).

96 points Wine Spectator: "[$280 list] A textbook blanc de blancs Champagne, with a rich waft of toasted hazelnut on the nose, plus a voluptuous range of poached apricot, quince paste, tangerine peel and brioche notes that expand on the finely detailed mousse. Focused by well-cut acidity, this is long and mouthwatering, with fragrant spice, mineral and floral accents on the finish. Drink now through 2040. (12/15/25)"

96 points Tom Hewson (Decanter): "Taittinger's Comtes de Champagne shines in 2014. It's a vintage that offered crisp yet open and beautifully defined wines from the grand cru Chardonnays of the Côte des Blancs. This is still primary and youthful, its zesty roasted grapefruit, sweet clementine and pineapple flavours meet juicy white peach and gentle ageing flavours of demerara sugar and toasted brioche. It's a little less intense and dynamic than 2013 but equally fine in its restrained, racy energy. With even a short time on cork the classic toasty Comtes richness will start to emerge. Drinking Window: 2026-2040. (Nov 2025)"

95+ points Audrey Frick (JebDunnuck.com): "The 2014 Champagne Blanc de Blancs Comtes de Champagne pours a bright medium yellow hue and is very pretty, with a graceful floral perfume as well as notes of brioche and lemon curd. Full-bodied but more linear, the mousse is pillow-like, powdery, and perfumed and is followed by a long finish. I love where this is now. It’s quite complete and pretty already, and it’s a great bottle to drink while waiting on the 2012 and 2013. It’s less obvious as a vintage at this stage, but I do see it improving and developing into a very finessed wine. Drink: 2025-2050. (12/15/25)"
