92 points Eric Guido (Vinous): "The 2023 Patelin de Tablas is incredibly fresh. From the glass, the 2023 cascades with a zesty blend of savory herbs, olives, earth tones and crushed stones. This is silky smooth with a burst of brisk acidity complementing sour cherry-berry fruits and hints of tart citrus. The finish is long-lasting, with gentle tannins that gradually fade, leaving behind lingering hints of violet pastilles and lavender. This balances ripe fruit with structure and an energetic persona to give a truly spellbinding impression. Drink: 2025-2024. (Jul 2024)"
92 points Clive Pursehouse (Decanter): "The Patelin de Tablas serves as a portrait of the greater Paso Robles AVA year after year. It shows the region's ability, even if other producers may not follow suit, to produce a ripe, redolent wine at under 14% abv—aromatics of smoky rose petals, spicy chicory root and a blend of peppercorns. The palate is densely fruited while remaining light on its feet. Dark blackberries, fig and plum fruits are lifted by savoury dry herbs, crushed stone minerality and a lift of five spices. Drinking Window: 2024-2032. (10/5/24)"
90-92 points Matthew Luczy (Wine Advocate): "Tasted before bottling, the 2023 Patelin de Tablas is a blend of 45% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 23% Mourvèdre and 2% Counoise. The nose is driven by mixed dark fruit aromas supported by tobacco, black tea and fresh herbs. The palate is beautifully textured, juicy and straightforward, with subtle tannins and lifted acidity. It's a charming introduction to Tablas Creek. (Sep 2024)"
