96 points Luis Gutiérrez (Wine Advocate): "2019 has the freshness of 2016 with healthier ripeness, and the 2019 Superuco Gualta, a blend of 60% Malbec with 40% Cabernet Franc from 15-year-old vines at 1,350 meters above sea level, reached 14.2% alcohol while keeping very good freshness and balance. The two varieties fermented together in rolling 500-liter oak barrels with indigenous yeasts, where the wine matured over two winters. It comes from Tupungato Winelands, which will fall into Gualtallary Albo when the subzones are finally approved. This is very complete, characterful and intense, with the two varieties very integrated (they fermented together). It's more about Gualtallary than the varieteis, with a strong expression of the chalkiness on the palate. 1,500 bottles were filled in November 2020. Drink: 2022-2030. (11/30/22)"
93 points Joaquín Hidalgo (Vinous): "The 2019 Gualta is a blend of 60% Malbec and 40% Cabernet Franc from Gualtallary, Uco Valley and spent two years in barrels. Garnet red with purple flecks. The nose presents fresh plum with hints of violet, herbs and mint. Lean initially with sharp freshness and chalky tannins that lend depth, it is enlivened by the juicy acidity. The palate flies in the face of prevailing trends. Drink: 2022-2034. (Nov 2022)"
