91 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a gorgeous, entry-level wine for the estate. Dark cherry, plum, mocha, licorice, spice and gravel are all pushed forward. This is an unusually forward wine although there is plenty of the typical savory/graphite notes that are so typical of this site. Drink: 2017-2025. (Feb 2016)"

90 points Robert Parker: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate from Monument Ridge is 98% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 18 months in 37% new French oak. It is an outstanding wine, with the oak pushed to the background. Notes of crushed rocks, spring flowers, blackcurrants, plums, and Asian spice are followed by a rich, full-bodied, pure and impressive Cabernet. It should drink well for at least 15 or 20 years. Drink: 2016-2036. (Oct 2016)"

91 points Decanter: "Made with grapes from the Jackson Family's Stonestreet Estate vineyards that crown mountaintops rising from 152-731m over Alexander Valley, the 2013 Stonestreet Estate Cab has an appealing texture, fluidly cruising through the mouth before the wine deposits its gentle, fine and sweet tannins on the back of the tongue. Dark black cherry is the main flavour, with notes of bay and mocha. Drink: 2016-2030. Alcohol 14.5%. (Sep 2016)"

90 points Wine Enthusiast: "Sage, brush and pencil shavings make for a savory, gravelly experience on the nose and palate of this full-bodied, high-elevation wine. Robustly tannic, it softens in the glass and on the finish in a stream of black pepper and dried herb. Alcohol 14.5%. (Jun 2017)"

Producer notes: "The 2013 Stonestreet Estate Cabernet Sauvignon conveys vivid aromas and flavors of black cherry, satsuma plum and blood orange with bay leaf, fresh tobacco and cocoa nib adding further dimension. The palate offers a generous, beautifully extracted texture, all of which is kept in balance by the freshness of the fruit that one finds on the mountain, and an indelible stony signature -- wrapped in ripe, chalky tannins that satisfy immediately and yet will easily reward a decade of cellar time."
