98 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Radically minerally but incredibly concentrated and almost perfectly balanced. In spite of the extremely early stage in its life, this is a dry Mosel masterpiece. Gigantic energy and vitality in the almost endless and super-salty finish. Limited production. Drinkable now, but best from 2027. (9/1/25)"

96 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Vinous): "The 2024 Riesling Neumagener Rosengärtchen GG is from densely planted old vines. The nose is rather shy, but the palate is immediately smooth, dense and fine, without any fat. It manages to be super svelte with a kind of tender suppleness. On the bone-dry finish, orange zest weaves its aromatic magic. All is here. This is a sleeper, gorgeous and so citric. (Bone-dry) Drink: 2030-2060. (Oct 2025)"

96 points Colin Hay (The Drinks Business): "The first release of this wine on la place (if was not part of last year’s first release from Gunther Steinmetz). Every bit as unique and wondrous as the other two cuvées, this is difficult to describe such is its aromatic complexity and its sheer singularity. It’s quite opulent and rich in a way, but there’s an almost visceral citrus acidity coursing through its veins that shatters any impression of fatness before it can form. But there’s an impressive viscosity and all the intensity that implies. Greengage. Damson skin. Mirabelle. White flowers and 51 shades of citrus. And very saline in its minerality. Fascinating. This is also difficult to read as it’s so incredibly youthful and a little closed on the palate at this early stage. (9/10/25)"

Producer notes: "The Neumagener Rosengärtchen Riesling GG 2024 from Günther Steinmetz reveals an intricate bouquet of grapefruit zest, lime blossom, acacia, rose, and orange flower, enhanced by touches of thyme, mint, and a delicate smoky note. On the palate, it is radically mineral, yet shows remarkable concentration and balance. Its vibrant, saline energy drives a long, almost endless finish, offering both depth and precision. A dry Mosel masterpiece, produced in very limited quantities, already impressive but destined to reach its full potential from 2027 onward. 1,100 bottles produced."
