98 points Raffaele Vecchione (WinesCritic.com): "Elegant and decidedly noble in the primary profile showing notes of black prunes, blackberries, sweet caramel, sandalwood, juniper berries and pink pepper. Complex and structured showing a secondary profile rich in wild blueberries and fondant chocolate. Full bodied, perfectly matured tannins and a finish that needs time to come out but shows the stuff of champions right from the start. Simply amazing. Impossible to resist. Better from 2025. (Oct 2022)"

97 points Luca Gardini: "North-eastern area, from a company who made history. A concrete project of sustainability just as substantial as this Brunello, which comes from the youngest vineyards. Marasca cherries to the nose, nuances of eucalyptus and white pepper. The drinkability is dense, crisp, balsamic with fruity-spicy return."

95 points James Suckling: "Complex and layered with truffles, white pepper, cardamom, dried cherries, blueberries, bay leaves, fresh mushrooms and potpourri. Sophisticated and weightless, with a medium to full body and very finely-knit tannins that are more textural. All so beautifully integrated. Drink from 2024. (Nov 2022)"

94+ Ian D'Agata (Terroir Sense): "Deep red. Ripe and ample on the nose and in the mouth, which is surprising given the characteristics of the 2018 vintage but at the same time, this is also a vintage that plays to Giancarlo Pacenti’s strengths. Layered and nicely mouthcoating on the broad long finish, this is currently still very youthful and slightly monotonal on the close, so forget about it in a good cellar for another ten years or so. This ought to develop nicely but will require more time than most other 2018 Brunellos to show all it has to offer, which is plenty. Drinking window: 2030-2038. (Aug 2023)"

94 points Monica Larner (Wine Advocate): "In an elegantly designed bottle, the Siro Pacenti 2018 Brunello di Montalcino Pelagrilli delivers lots of dark fruit and blackberry, and the quality of the fruit is bold, fresh and still very much alive. The house style prizes concentration and oak spice, but the detailed-minded winemaking is impeccable. The wine is structured and firm and stands apart in a crowd, but alas, it does show an unfortunate 15% alcohol content. This is a 23,000-bottle release. Drink 2025-2040 (Mar 2023)"

94 points Wine Enthusiast: "Black cherries, tar and old leather on the nose give way to more herbaceous notes of wild mint, fennel and anise seed with a hint of orange peel that follows through to the palate along with more cherries before a chalky, mocha finish. (Oct 2023)"

94 points Falstaff Guide: "Clear ruby garnet with brightening on the rim. Very clear and intense nose, lots of blackberry, ripe dark cherry, dried tomato in the background. Pleasant, accessible cherry fruit on the palate, opens up in many layers with grippy tannins, balsamic notes and firm drive on the finish. (Oct 2023)"
