100 points Guía Proensa of Spain Wines: "Perhaps the greatest San Vincente. A sophisticated, elegant combination of fruit and terroir aromas (hummus). Harmonious in the mouth, body, consistency, freshness, depth, and powerful flavors and aromas. (2025)"

95 points Luis Gutiérrez (Wine Advocate): "The 2021 San Vicente showcases the completeness of the year with a rare combination of power and elegance, with intensity of fruit, clout and very good freshness and the roundness of the tannins from the year. It has a lot of everything; the selection of Tempranillo used for this wine gave a lot of color, notes of aromatic herbs and ripe berry fruit and a solid palate, but it's fine-boned, with a beautiful texture. It's still young but already shows incipient complexity. It absorbed the new oak (French and American) pretty early, and the aromas and flavors are very integrated. It should be very long lived. This is one of the finest vintages for San Vicente. It was bottled in August 2023. Drink: 2026-2038. (2/27/25)."

95 points Tim Atkin, MW: "Señorío de San Vicente is a stand-alone wine (and bodega) from the Eguren brothers, all sourced from their 18-hectare holdings in La Canoca, one of San Vicente de la Sonsierra's unofficial Grands Crus. Assertively wooded in new French and 10% American oak, it's a very polished, glossy expression of the Tempranillo Peludo clone with lots of texture, concentration and power, aromas of mountain herbs and cigar box, firm tannins, lots of acidity and compact dark berry fruit. Needs time. 2027-2040. (2025)"

95 points Joaquín Hidalgo (Vinous): "The 2021 San Vicente was made from 100% Tempranillo Peludo, a rare variant of the grape. This was grown on clay and coarse gravel in La Canoca, San Vicente de la Sonsierra. Aged for 20 months in mostly French oak, the nose is expressive, with red fruit, balsamic herbs, undergrowth and a light note of orange peel. On the palate, it’s intense and textured, with chalky tannins and a broad stream of flavor. This has immediate charm and long-term aging potential. It is already expressive but will deepen beautifully over time. Drink 2028-2050. (05/25)."

94 points Wine Spectator: "A muscular red, offering an initially compact feel that then opens nicely in the glass and on the palate, revealing a concentrated range of ripe black currant and black cherry fruit, with a fleshy hint of green olive, plus fragrant thyme, rosemary, licorice and mineral accents. Framed by limber tannins that firm the fresh, focused finish. Best from 2026 through 2041. (5/31/25)."
