96 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Based on the 2016 vintage and disgorged in January 2023, the latest release of Selosse's NV Extra-Brut Grand Cru Chemin de Chalons offers up a deep bouquet of ripe stone fruits, honeycomb, mint, toasted nuts and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and pillowy palate that's rich but sapid, concluding with a chalky finish. As readers will remember, this bottling derives from the Cramant part of this lieu-dit that straddles Cramant and Avize; the vines, planted in the first half of the 20th century, have been a source for the domaine's massal selection. Rich, sumptuous and super-expressive, the Cramant offers tons of immediacy but is tempered by bright, saline notes that bring it all together on the finish. Hints of citrus confit, hazelnut, chamomile and light honeyed overtones grace this exquisite edition of the Cramant. It’s the most expressive of the Chardonnay lieux-dits today.
